I'm a full-time writer and storyteller on a mission to inspire, motivate, and entertain through the art of words.

From the first time I entered a writing competition as an 8-year-old, it was my dream to be a writer. Over the following years—OK, decades—I tried to break into journalism, stand-up comedy, and travel writing before finally taking the leap during the pandemic, selling my business, and pursuing this dream full-time.

These days, my work spans corporate gigs, personal projects, major publications, and everything in between. I have even written two books. Whatever the platform or audience, I love telling stories.

I've also gathered plenty of real-life content, having visited a whopping 107 countries despite my mother advising against visiting many of them.

More than anything, I get a thrill from using the written word to educate, entertain, and connect with others on a deeper level.

An Emotional Pilgrimage to the Site of My Grandparents' Suffering

The warmth of the spring sunshine couldn't thaw the chill in my heart as I walked the grounds where my grandparents endured endless suffering decades ago. Auschwitz was never spoken of at home; the name reawakened terrible memories too dark for words. But I needed to see this place. I wanted to try to glimpse the hell they managed to survive if only to understand their remarkable resilience better.

Bhutan's Symphony of Harmony Changed My Perspective on Life

I'm gripping the armrest tightly as I take deep, calming breaths. I have been on hundreds of flights, experienced severe turbulence countless times, and even an aborted landing, but I have never been this nervous. The person next to me is wearing a colorful robe, and I am temporarily distracted by its intricate patterns until he leans across and reminds me we are attempting to land at one of the most dangerous airports in the world. Moonshine and Melodies or How A City Slicker Became A Country Music Fan

There I was, wearing my new Johnny Cash t-shirt and cowboy boots, holding a glass of moonshine, and singing along to Zac Bryan in a poorly attempted southern drawl. The unlikely transformation was complete. I was a Country Music convert — and damn proud of it.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s in Melbourne, Australia, there was no country music. It was all about pub bands — beer, bands, and sticky floors. Rock, grunge, punk, a

I've been to 105 countries. Here are the 5 most important things I've learned about travel.

I was 21 when I went overseas for the first time. I immediately fell in love with travel and set a target of visiting 100 countries before I turned 50. I did it by the time I was 45. Receiving my trophy in the airport in Kyiv. I grew up in Australia, which made overseas travel a significant financial and time commitment. As a result, all my childhood vacations were domestic. In 2018 when my twin sons were 11, my wife and I took them to Disneyland. They loved taking in the characters, the shows, the rides, and the food. They ended the day in matching Disney T-shirts and Goofy hats — we'd created Disney fans for life.

At least, that's what I'd hoped.
